Bound (2002)
A parable on the principles of art based on a short story by IIse Aichinger. Choreographed and danced by Saburo Teshigawara, featuring Corinna Harfouch, José Maria Tirado Nevada, and with an appearance by
IIse Aichinger. Directed by Jan Schmidt - Garre, Music by Dmitri Shostakovich.
Absolute Zero (2002)
Saburo Teshigawara's dance piece 'Absolute Zero' explores the condition of total stillness. The heart of the two-hour long stage production was adapted for the screen with the appropriate and consequent purism. Teshigawara and his partner Kei Miyata develop an almost unnoticeable inner speed and yet everything flows to the minimalist music of Gurdjieff and Thomas de Hartmann. Directed by Jan Schmidt - Garre. Piano: Alain Kremski.
Still Move (2003)
A portrait of Japanese choreographer Saburo Teshigawara, 'Still Move' provides insights into the philosophy of dance and life, from Zen to classical ballet, of one of the most important choreographers of our time. Directed by Marieke Schroeder.
